did you know, that the, "kuiper belt", (sometimes called the Edgeworth–Kuiper belt, according to modern acedemiology is a circumstellar disc in the Solar System beyond the (known) planets, extending from the orbit of Neptune (at 30 AU) to approximately 50 AU from the Sun.It is similar to the asteroid belt, but is far larger—20 times as wide and 20 to 200 times as massive. Like the asteroid belt, it consists mainly of small bodies or remnants from when the Solar System formed. While many asteroids are composed primarily of rock and metal, most Kuiper belt objects are composed largely of frozen volatiles termed ices, such as methane, ammonia and water. The Kuiper belt is home to three officially recognised dwarf planets: Pluto, Haumea and Makemake. Some of the Solar System's moons, such as Neptune's Triton and Saturn's Phoebe, are thought to have originated in the region, The precise origins of the Kuiper belt, and its complex structure are still unclear, to modern science lol, (but not me), and astronomers are awaiting the completion, of several wide-field survey telescopes such as Pan-STARRS and the future LSST, which should reveal many currently unknown KBOs. (but not answer the question of why it is there), These surveys will provide data, that will help determine answers to these questions{but not really, it just gives a better view, of what they dont understand), its the remnants of a planetary body, that decayed on it's orbit, after a massive impact, leaving a trail of debris, just like breadcrumbs, we will be able to track and tell any space faring object, from it's chemical composition, if its a part of the same matter, and where it's been as, standardz, hahahahahaha, :) #edio
