did you know, even though they market things to you that you perceive to be harmless, in large doses, they do more harm, than good even the, "tic tac", is bad for you, in large doses The primary ingredients found in Tic Tacs are sugar, maltodextrin, tartaric acid, rice starch, gum arabic, magnesium stearate and carnauba wax along with artificial colors and flavors. To understand what risks Tic Tacs may pose on the body, we will take you through each of the ingredients.
Maltodextrin is an additive that binds ingredients and prevents crystallization. It has negative health impacts because it has been found to promote bad bacteria and can cause allergic reactions in some people including rash and itchy, blotched skin.
Maltodextrin is an easily absorbed complex carbohydrate and can sneak into your blood stream rapidly thanks to its high glycemic index. Therefore, if you are not leading an active lifestyle, it acts much like sugar and will be stored as fat. However, if you are active around the time you consume any product containing maltodextrin, it should pass through the digestive system fairly quick. Also concerning is the fact that maltodextrin is derived from corn and chances are it is genetically modified. Without any long-term research on GMOs, it is hard to say whether or not they are safe to consume. Many researchers have concluded they increase the risk for numerous ailments, including cancer, and can even create new diseases never seen before.
Tartaric acid contains anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties, and can actually be considered in small quantities. However, consumed in large amounts, unwanted side effects such as stomach pain, increased thirst, and gastro complications can quickly arise. Rice starch is used as a stabiliser and poses no threat to your health. Gum arabic or acacia gum is also used as a good stabiliser and helps to bind ingredients together. It is used in Tic Tacs to prevent them from sticking to your teeth and to make the flavor last longer. Gum arabic contains no additives or harmful chemicals and can be safely consumed. Magnesium stearate is a type of salt that is used as a binder and also is safe to consume. Carnauba wax is used to give Tic Tacs their hard coating and gloss. While deemed safe for consumption by various health entities, it is important to note that long-term consumption of carnauba wax has no research behind it. We simply just don't know what risks the wax poses on the body over the long run.
Lastly, we have artificial flavors and colors. Both have been chemically produced in a lab and can increase the risk for several serious health complications. Some of these include cancer, central nervous system damage, and respiratory depression. Artificial flavors and colors have also been found to be a leading culprit in childhood hyperactivity.
If you must freshen up your breath, a few Tic Tacs every now and then shouldn't hurt. Consuming them every day, however, will surely result in more harm than good. Try chewing on a fresh piece of mint instead!,

This means, they will not live as long, only about 10 billion years, or so. Near the end of their lives, these medium-sized stars, swell up, becoming very large. (sounds like most celebrities), When this happens to the Sun, it will grow large enough, to engulf even the Earth. Eventually they shrink again, leaving behind most of their gas. This gas forms, a beautiful cloud around the star, called a Planetary Nebula.

With the zero being regarded as Heaven and the all or nothing this now leaves us 9 numbers within our base-ten system. 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9. These nine gods were celebrated by the Greeks and Egyptians in the Ennead. The Ennead was nine gods that represented the archetypal principles that regulated and ruled the cosmos through the laws of number. This company of nine has shown its face many times throughout the world. In Norse mythology, the god Odin hung on the Yggradsil tree for nine days. Benjamin Franklin was Grand Master of the charitable Nine Sisters Lodge. In the European Middle ages we see the Nine-Worthies, semi-legendary figures who personified the ideas of chivalry. Our base-ten decimal system is not man made, rather it is created by this flow of energy. Amazingly, after twenty years of working with this symbol and collaborating with engineers and scientists, Marko discovered that the 1,2,4,8,7,5 was a doubling circuit for a very efficient electrical coil.

There was still one more very important number pattern to be realized. On the MATHEMATICAL FINGER PRINT OF GODnotice how the 3, 9, and 6 is in red and does not connect at the base. That is because it is a vector. The 1,2,4,8,7,5 is the third dimension while the oscillation between the 3 and 6 demonstrates the fourth dimension, which is the higher dimensional magnetic field of an electrical coil. The 3, 9, and 6 always occur together with the 9 as the control. In fact, the Yin/Yang is not a duality but rather a trinary. This is because the 3 and 6 represent each side of the Yin/Yang and the 9 is the “S” curve between them. Everything is based on thirds. We think that the universe is based on dualities because we see the effects not the cause.

The Borromean Rings
In mathematics, the Borromean rings consist of three topological circles which are linked and form a Brunnian link (i.e., removing any ring results in two unlinked rings). In other words, no two of the three rings are linked with each other as a Hopf link, but nonetheless all three are linked.

The mystery of the Christian Trinity is expressed in the Athanasian Creed: we worship one God in Trinity, and Trinity in unity; neither confounding the Persons, nor dividing the substance. Trying to depict this triune nature without leaving oneself open to attacks of polytheism was problematic, and geometrical symbols became popular. The equilateral triangle, consisting of three equal parts, equally joined, was used as an early symbol of the Trinity. It was often inscribed in a circle, a symbol used to stand for God for many centuries. For the Greeks, the circle symbolised perfection; its never-ending form also encapsulates the idea of eternity.

Today, the Borromean rings are commonly used as a symbol of the Trinity. The earliest source for this that we are aware of was a thirteenth-century manuscript in the Municipal Library at Chartres. It contained four diagrams, one of which is shown above. In the centre, inside all the circles, is the word `unitas’; the three syllables of `tri-ni-tas’ are distributed in the outer sectors. Unfortunately, the manuscript was destroyed in a fire in 1944. The copy shown here was reproduced in a manual of Christian iconography [Didron-Didron], along with descriptions of the other three. The labels on these other figures are shown below. They are:

“God is Life” surrounded by “Father”, “Son” and “Holy Spirit”;
“God is” surrounded by “Word”, “Light” and “Life”;
the phrases “Trinitas Unitate” (three in one) and “Unitas Trinitate” (one in three) distributed over the diagram.
The number 3 is the most important number after 1 and 2, or perhaps just as important. Because when your born, you normally see two parents. And you see single entities in instants of time.
But you mainly act on impulse until you grow abit older.
You see humans giving you nourishment with symmetric body parts.
Two eyes, two arms, two legs, two breasts.

Once you realise there is such thing as your self, then there are three important people - your self, and your mum and dad (assuming dad hasn’t been killed fighting sabre tooth tigers, even if he has, maybe your uncle is now helping out, or maybe somehow mum was killed and your aunt is helping out, or maybe somehow you end up with two…).
Even before you have invented a calendar or electricity or a counting system that uses the number of fingers on your hand you clearly have an idea of the importance of three.
But for sake of argument, let’s suppose that all the people in your tribe are born of only 4 fingers on each hand and they haven’t invented counting yet and when they do it wont be base 10.

Anyway, you also have learnt an idea of circles because they’re found in nature.
Your parents eyes are circular. Flowers are circular. Your mothers tit is circular. The sun is circular. The unborn child in womb is circular. The head is circular.

You also learn a method of basic enclosure to keep safe from the rain and cold.
Its a natural extension of the mothers womb so maybe its a cave, an approximation of what you know enclosures/circles/safety should look like. Innately you know at least has three dimensions thought you dont understand that concept yet. You just understand it encloses you and you and your parents and tribe can fit inside.

At some point you discover, bashing rocks together or rubbing sticks together, can create heat and even fire. Perhaps you conceived this after seeing lightning strike a tree.

In any event, you’ve just as innately picked up the concept of long thin things, like trees and branches and sticks, of the shape resembling what we call straight lines. Our limbs are approximately straight. Our eyelashes. Diffraction of light rays, we don’t have these words, but we see the idea of line around. You use spears and sticks. Your first drawings are stick figures. You make use of this idea to make weapons like spears. You workout you can even shape other materials to be even sharper and pointier to help with hunting animals and protecting yourself from other tribes.

They kinda look like little mountains.

You also discover to help in cooking you can hold food aloft by making a minimally three dimensional hold-aloft device. And you can make your own little mountain houses.

The point is you know what sharp at top but wide at base shapes are and a few ideas of what they’re good for. We’ve basically succeeded in holding something up using the strong yet efficient concept of three.
The sacred three line constructed mountain and spearhead like enclosure model is easier to build than full round cave like enclosures. But we do settle on the round ones that are more durable in windy conditions and we want durable housing when we’ve more permanently settled on somewhere we like.
Some genius might have put two triangles base to base and invented the square or perhaps just used two perpendicular sets of parallel straight things. But there is no real precedent to do that yet. Squares don’t occur regularly in nature, but parallel lines sort of do, like on trees. But you do find square shaped rocks due to erosion. But it probably didn’t come till the evolution of more lasting housing.

So from the basic idea of a square, projected into a volume with another square at each side, we had developed bricks and the idea of cubes and cuboids.

We used them when we decided to make our own square-triangle mountains as a gift to the gods.

At some point a really smart guy tried to understand all the basic solid things and make sense of it all.

Another smart guy tried to expand on using these solids to study planets.

But physics went on to disband these models, because we can describe spheres with more accurate mathematics (based on revolutions) now. But who knows, maybe there is more to the Pyramids?
Anyway, back to our story.
We can sorta see why 3 and 6 have become important, but not 9.
(3+6=9 but thats not particularly universally interesting).
At some point when we began making basic communities and trading with each other, before the pyramids were built, very smart people developed counting systems. The number of digits on our hands are important in what base we decide on, but in this hypothetical case, because we only have four fingers, we might have chose to use base 4 or 8.
But as it turned out, we did have 10 fingers and so we decided on more appropriate base. And so 9 was important in the first counting systems because they only went to 9 and there was no concept of 10.

But in others there was (base 60, of which 3, 6 and 9 come up as important).

But these base choices are quite arbitrary.
We need to introduce the concept of multiplication for 9 to become un-arbitrarily (universally) important, which is a very important operation in the development of counting and later more complex mathematics and physics.
We were lucky that we actually did have 5 fingers on each hand and 10 in total resulting in us choosing to use base 10 counting. Because as it turns out counting in 3’s in base 4 or base 8 is pretty difficult. Base 10 is a lot easier in small multiples.But if we had chosen base 3, we would’ve been even better off if it were important to count in 3’s. But it wasn’t particularly so.
But at least now we can count:
one three = 3
two three = 6
three three = 9
If it were important to trade in 3’s and we still chose base 10 because of our fingers,
3,6,9 would still all fit on our two hands. So for small counts it still would’ve been alright.
Also, the base 60 number system shown above may’ve influenced our choice of a perfect calendar based on 30 natural days each 12 lunar cycle solar year, which is where the degrees in a revolution comes from (12x30=360).

As others have pointed out, 9 perhaps could be seen as mathematically relevant to this amount of degrees, but it actually turned out to be the wrong amount of days in a solar year (now 365.25). So the importance of 9 is just coincidence (and not naturally emergent to reality).
However, some have speculated that before some natural event, the 360 day perfect calendar may have actually been correct. (360 days Ancient Calendar).
In which case it could be seen to been as an efficient calendar that naturally emerged for an efficiently evolved human being with an efficient number of fingers to choose a particular base to use for counting.
And so there is perhaps a relation between the natural efficiency of “3” and the importance of 6 and 9 in the calendar system as well, which is actually describing the revolution system, which also links up to the idea of AC electricity which can be described in terms of revolutions that define waveforms.
So, starting off with 1 and then 2 and then 3 and then a good counting system for 3’s, perhaps governed by our fingers which evolved in a system with a naturalness of maths from with sacred constants of growth (phi, e, pi), we get an emergent description of waveform electricity, and energy waveform in general.
Of course there are some loose ends in describing the whole universe in terms of wave energy, but hopefully it’s just a matter of time before they’re worked out.
This is why Tesla said the secrets of the universe are in energy, frequency and vibration. (Its "Not A Dream").
It’s been abit of a stretch, but perhaps this argument has sufficiently convinced you that 3, 6, 9 are important naturally emergent numbers because they contain:
a basic family: mom, dad and child
sharpness, strong base and efficient enclosure
the concepts of counting, multiplication, and perfect squares.
perhaps the emergence of a perfect calendar (which is at least a decent approximation of current reality)
from the emergence of the near accurate revolutionary perfect calendar an emergence of the waveform description of electricity and energy which governs all matter in the universe and perhaps the fabric of spacetime itself
Are these the secrets of the universe?
At least they’ve been quite important to the three dimensional humanity and math and electricity.
Not really an answer as exciting as free energy, and many unanswered questions, but perhaps those answers are still emerging?
Speculating more specifically on Teslas life, his invention of 3 phase AC electricity is most notable. But perhaps another reason why 3,6,9 was important to Tesla is just that they are simply factors of 3.
Tesla was known for being very religious for Christianity.
There is the trinity theme in Christianity.
The father, the son, and the holy ghost.
He was also known to be basically OCD.
The top of the crucifix is also representative of 3.
However Christians also traditionally like the 10 commandments and the 12 apostles too, so maybe not.
in contrast the Christian mythology doesn’t place much importance on the mother, which might say volumes about feminism, atheism and that capitalism that is blind to it’s environment, mother earth .

or perhaps if he lived to see computers he might’ve said 0, 1 and 2 are the three most important numbers.

The flower of life is a geometrical shape composed of multiple evenly-spaced, overlapping circles arranged in a flower like pattern with six fold symmetry like a hexagon. and has been found at many ancient archaeological site's even in Egypt, but they are hidden out of the way beneath, where the general public, are usually aloud to go, also there is the hidden flaming sword with it's single solitary guard, still standing, after all these millennia,

Flower of Life

The Flower of Life is the modern name given to a geometrical figure composed of multiple evenly-spaced, overlapping circles, that are arranged so that they form a flower-like pattern with a sixfold symmetry like a hexagon. The centre of each circle is on the circumference of six surrounding circles of the same diameter.

It is considered by some to be a symbol of sacred geometry, said to contain ancient, religious value depicting the fundamental forms of space and time. In this sense, it is a visual expression of the connections life weaves through all sentient beings, believed to contain a type of Akashic Record of basic information of all living things.

There are many spiritual beliefs associated with the Flower of Life; for example, depictions of the five Platonic Solids are found within the symbol of Metatron's Cube, which may be derived from the Flower of Life pattern. These platonic solids are geometrical forms which are said to act as a template from which all life springs.

Another notable example of that which may be derived from the Flower of Life is the Tree of Life. This has been an important symbol of sacred geometry for many people from various religious backgrounds. Particularly, the teachings of the Kabbalah have dealt intricately with the Tree of Life.

According to Drunvalo Melchizedek, in the Judeo-Christian tradition, the stages which construct the Seed of Life are said to represent the seven days of Creation, in which Elohim (God/concept of divinity) created life; Genesis 2:2-3, Exodus 23:12, 31:16-17, Isaiah 56:6-8. Within these stages, among other things, are the symbols of the Vesica Piscis (an ancient religious symbol) and Borromean rings (which represents the Holy Trinity).

The Temple of Osiris at Abydos, Egypt contains the oldest known examples of the Flower of Life. Precisely how old these inscriptions are is unknown. The most recent research shows that these symbols can be no earlier than 535 B.C. and most probably date to between the 2nd and 4th century AD, based upon photographic evidence of Greek text, still to be fully deciphered, seen alongside the Flower of Life circles and the position of the circles close to the top of columns, which are over 4 metres in height. This suggests the Osirion was half filled with sand prior to the circles being drawn and therefore likely to have been well after the end of the Ptolemaic dynasty.

Possibly five Flower of Life patterns can be seen on one of the granite columns and a further five on a column opposite of the Osirion. Some are very faint and hard to distinguish. They have not been carved into the granite being drawn in red ochre with careful precision. Alchemy

Components of the Flower of Life have been a part of the work of Alchemists. Metatron's Cube is a symbol derived from the Flower of Life which was used as a containment circle or creation circle.

The "Seed of Life" is formed from seven circles being placed with sixfold symmetry, forming a pattern of circles and lenses, which acts as a basic component of the Flower of Life's design.

According to some researchers, the Seed of Life is a symbol of depicting the seven days of creation in which God created life; Genesis 2:2-3, Exodus 23:12, 31:16-17, Isaiah 56:6-8. The first day is believed to be the creation of the Vesica Piscis, then the creation of the Tripod of Life on the second day, followed by one sphere added for each subsequent day until all seven spheres construct the Seed of Life on the sixth day of Creation. The seventh day is the day of rest, known as the "Sabbath" or "Shabbat."

you know, there are many interesting conclusions than you can, "draw", from certain thing's, for example from the position and geometry of the sphinx and pyramids, it's clear that the ancients had a understanding of higher, mathematics principles, and in-depth knowledge of astronomical alignments, with other galaxies, and there has been an ongoing heated debate, between researchers in archaeoastronomy and Egyptologists as to whether the ancient pyramid builders of Egypt were aware of the phenomenon known as the precession of the equinoxes. In simple and brief terms, the precession of the equinoxes is the result of a very slow wobble-like gyration of the earth that takes around 26,000 years. The 'discovery' of the precession of the equinoxes is attributed to the Alexandrian-Greek astronomer Hipparchus in around 130 BC, and Egyptologists and historians in general totally reject the idea that the Egyptians might have known of the phenomenon thousands of years before. This view was recently voiced again in the international press based on the content of an article in the journal Nature by Dr. Kate Spence, an Egyptologist from Cambridge University .

Contrary to popular opinion, the apparent effect of precession is quite noticeable in the sky across a few centuries, as there is considerable change in the position of stars that can be easily picked up by naked-eye observations. Indeed, Philip Morrison of MIT noted that to discover precession requires only a tree (solar gnomon) and faith in the veracity of one's grandfather (an oral record). Thus over the 700 years or so that led from the formation of the ancient Egyptian civilisation in c. 3200 BC to the start of the 4th Dynasty in c. 2500 BC, the rising place (known in astronomy as the azimuth) of stars such as, say, those in Orion's belt, would have changed by as much as 3° on the horizon, and as much as 2.5° at culmination on the meridian. This alone has led many modern researchers to remark that it would have been unlikely for a people like the ancient Egyptians, who were very keen and avid observers of the sky and stars, not to be aware of the precessional shift, even though they might not have understood its underlying cause or have been able to compute it mathematically . In 1894 the British astronomer, Sir Norman Lockyer (1836-1920), the 'father of archaeoastronomy', brought further evidence in support of this view, in his book The Dawn of Astronomy (1894), when he demonstrated that the ancient Egyptians' aligned their temples to stars rising in the east and often changed the alignment of the temple in order to take into account the drift caused by precession. Although Lockyer was largely ignored by the Egyptologists, a century later the same findings were reported by the American astronomer R.A. Wells for temples such as the Satet temple of Isis on Elephantine Island in Upper Egypt. It was not until 1964 that Lockyer's findings prompted the well-known MIT professor Giorgio de Santillana to conclude that When a stellar temple is oriented so accurately that it requires several reconstructions at intervals of a few centuries, which involved each time the rebuilding of its narrow alignment on a star, and the wrecking of the main symmetry that goes with it; when Zodiacs, like that of Denderah, are deliberately depicted in the appearance they would have had centuries before, as if to date the changes, then it is not reasonable to suppose the Egyptians were unaware of the precession of the equinoxes, even if their mathematics was unable to predict it numerically. Lockyer let the facts speak for themselves, but it is he who has given the proof. Actually, the Egyptians do describe the Precession, but in a language usually written off as mythological or religious,
There are several astronomers who are open to the idea that the ancient Egyptians knew of precession but as far as I can tell, the only Egyptologist who openly supports Santillana's view is the American scholar Jane B. Sellers  The rest either choose to ignore it or attempt to disprove and discredit this idea at every opportunity  It is well-known that my colleague Graham Hancock and I fully endorse Santillana's views, and that we have also argued that the pyramid builders of Giza not only were aware of Precession but also incorporated its principles in their architecture for religious and ritual purposes In this present article I will review another aspect of the Old Kingdom pyramids which also demonstrates this fact, but from a totally different and new viewpoint.


The Earth tilts some 23° 26' from the plane of the ecliptic. This angle, however, changes fractionally in cycles of 40,000 years from a minimum of about 22° 6' to a maximum of about 24° 30' due to a phenomenon known as the obliquity of the ecliptic. Calculations show that the angle of tilt has been steadily decreasing since the beginning of recorded history, c.3500 BC, at the average rate of about 40" per century. Using the accepted rigid formula it can be shown that in c. 2500 BC, when the construction of the Giza pyramids began, the tilt of the earth's axis was 23° 58'. The Giza pyramid site is at latitude of 29° 59', which means that the north celestial pole of the sky was at an altitude of 29° 59'.
We always think in terms of the north celestial pole as being the focal point of the sky, an immovable imaginary point around which all the fixed stars seems to revolve in concentric circles. So entrenched is this idea that we ignore or are unaware that this imaginary point is not the true focal point of the sky at all. And even though the idea that the north celestial pole is a fixed point holds true for a very short period of time, the statement becomes invalid over long periods of time because of precession. The fact is that the north celestial pole drifts away from the fixed field of stars at the rate of about 20" arc seconds a year due to the perpetual wobble-like cycle of our planet. Furthermore, the north celestial pole will keep on drifting from the fixed star field up to a full 47° (about one quarter of the visible sky field) over its 26,000 years cycle. This is hardly a fixed point in terms of cosmic time. There is, however, another point in the sky which drifts away from the fixed star field at the very much slower rate of 0.4 arc seconds per year, that is 50 times slower than the drift of the north celestial pole and thus, by true definition, making it the real focal point of the sky. This point is known as pole of the ecliptic. Furthermore, the pole of the ecliptic will only displace itself a mere 2.5° over its 40,000 years cycle.
The pole of the ecliptic is located in the heart of the constellation of Draco, approximately between the stars Zeta Draco and Al Tais. Assuming that the ancient astronomer-priests of Egypt began observing and recording the position of stars some 200 years before the dynastic period, say c. 3500 BC, up to the start of the 4th Dynasty in c.2500 BC, a simple calculation shows that the position of the pole of the ecliptic would have displaced itself by only 6 minutes of arc (0.1°), over this whole 1000 year period. On the other hand, the north celestial pole would have been displaced by 333 minutes of arc (5.55°). Imagine adartboard where one dart (the pole of the ecliptic) is 1 cm away from the bull's eye and another (north celestial pole) is 50 cm away, and you will get the picture. The pole of the ecliptic will cross the meridian twice each day i.e. upper and lower culmination. Calculations show that during the Pyramid Age, and as seen from the latitude of Giza (29° 59'), the pole of the ecliptic would have had its upper culmination at the meridian at an altitude of 53° 57' (29° 59' + 23° 58'). The table below shows the altitude of the pole of the ecliptic at upper culmination at the meridian at different latitudes/locations in Lower and Middle Egypt, roughly encompassing the region of pyramid building during the Old Kingdom:

The angle of upper culmination of the pole of the ecliptic thus varied +/-2° from 52° depending where you stood in the desert region from Abu Ruwash to El Amarna.


The pole of the ecliptic seems to have been known by some ancient cultures. For example, the French astronomer A. Bouche-Leclerq noted that it is well-known that the pole par excellence for the Chaldeans was the pole of the ecliptic, which is in the constellation of the Dragon (Draco). Also the MIT scholar Giorgio de Santillana believed that the ancients perceived the pole of the ecliptic as the centre of a 'whirlpool' in the sky In keeping with this hypothesis, R.A. Schwaller de Lubicz demonstrates that the astronomical arrangements of the circumpolar and zodiacal constellations at the centre of the circular Denderah Zodiac show both the pole of the ecliptic as well as the north celestial pole. As the author and pyramid researcher Peter Tompkins explained:

The zodiac (of Denderah) is a circle at the centre of which is our north pole... our north pole is correctly located in the constellation of the jackal, or Little Bear (Ursa Minor), as it was at the time the zodiac was carved, sometime about the first century BC. But the zodiac also shows the pole of the ecliptic, located in the breast of the hippopotamus, or constellation of Draco. To Schwaller this explains the spiral formation of the constellations. The mythological figures are entwined in two circles --one around the north pole and one around the pole of the ecliptic. Where these two circles intersect marks the point of the equinox, or due east. The zodiac thus becomes a calendar going back to remote antiquity.


The dark-lined circle has its centre at the north celestial pole, marked today by the star Polaris in the Small Bear (Ursa Major). The faint-lined circle has its centre at the pole of the ecliptic at a spot within the constellation of Draco. Where the circles intersect are found the equinoxes. The north celestial pole and the vernal equinox will drift with time, denoted by the other small circles, but the pole of the ecliptic will remain relatively fixed.

In the 1970s the professor of the History of Science, Livio C. Stecchini, examined ancient Egyptian charts of the circumpolar constellations, showing the Hippopotamus (Draco) and the Thigh (Ursa Major or Great Bear) as well as a hawk-headed man, probably Horus, seen pointing a pole or spear at the head of the Bull


According to the Czechoslovakian Egyptologist Zybnek Zaba, the pole or spear held by the hawk-headed man indicated the meridian line passing through the north celestial pole. But Stecchini did not agree. He maintained that Zaba did not notice that the spear's head divided the seven stars of the Thigh (Big Bear) constellation into groups of three and four stars. This line defined by the spear, argued Stecchini, does not indicate the meridian passing through the north celestial pole at all, but the meridian passing through the pole of the ecliptic. According to Stecchini, the ancient Egyptians not only understood the precession of the equinoxes but also knew that the true meridian is the one passing through the pole of the ecliptic. Another point that seems to have escaped both Zaba and Stecchini, however, is the peculiar way the standing Hippopotamus holds a rope with its right hand that is attached to the lower end of the Thigh constellation. In my opinion the position of the 'right hand' seems very much to denote the actual position of the pole of the ecliptic onto which the Thigh (Great Bear) constellation seems to be 'moored' to or 'anchored' with a rope.


There are many references to a mysterious object called the 'Great Mooring-post' in the Pyramid Texts, often found alongside passages that are clearly astronomical in character

The Great Mooring post calls to you... you ascend here as a star, the Morning Star. He comes to you his father, he comes to you, O Geb; take his hand and let him sit on the great throne that he may join the two halves of the sky.

The doors of the sky are open for you, the mourning-woman summons you as Isis, the Great Mooring-post calls to you as Nephtys, you have appeared upon the causeway

It is clear that the 'Great Mooring-post' is somehow to be regarded as being associated to the sky ascent of Osiris, the form of the defunct king who is assisted by his sisters, Isis and Nephtys. Now it is well known that Osiris in his stellar form is the constellation of Orion. Not surprisingly, therefore, there are other references in the Pyramid Texts to the Great Mooring-post which appear in passages where Orion is specifically mentioned. For example

O King, you are this great star, the companion of Orion, who traverses the sky with Orion, who navigates the Netherworld with Osiris... the Great Mooring-post cries out to you as to Osiris in his suffering.

The Great Mooring-post calls out, because you are he who stands and will never tire in the midst of Abydos [Osiris?]...Betake yourself to the waterway, fare upstream to the Thinite Nome, travel about Abydos, in this spirit form of yours which the gods commanded belongs to you, may a stairway to the netherworld be set up for you to the place where Orion is

Orion, however, is not a circumpolar or even a northern constellation but very much a southern constellation. Oddly, there are other passages which associate the Great Mooring-post to the 'imperishable stars', the northern circumpolar stars that never 'die' i.e. never set

The doors of the sky are opened for you, the doors of the firmament are thrown open for you... the Mooring-post cries to you, the sun-folk call you, the Imperishable Stars wait on you

The Great Mooring-post calls to you... may you remove yourself upon your iron throne, may you cross the lake, may your face be cleansed in the north of the sky

It has long been accepted by Egyptologists that the imagined skyward ascent of the king's soul was either in the north of the sky among the 'Imperishable Stars' or in the south of the sky amongst the stars of Orion  This specific belief is materialised in the Great Pyramid of Giza by the so-called star-shafts emanating from the King's Chamber, where one was targeted north to the circumpolar stars and the other targeted south to Orion In consideration of this, it is justified to wonder if the pyramids were not, in some symbolic way, 'moored' or 'anchored' not just to the circumpolar region of the sky in general but, more specifically, to the pole of the ecliptic, the true 'pole' of the sky?


The shafts in the Great Pyramid: the southern shafts were directed to Orion's belt and Sirius; the northern shafts to the circumpolar constellations of Ursa Minor and Draco. The mythological counterparts are Orion-Osiris; Sirius-Isis; Ursa Minor-Upuaut/Horus; Draco-Hippopotamus Goddess.


It is well known that the monumental Pyramids of the Old Kingdom in Egypt, from the 4th Dynasty (c. 2500 BC) to the 6th Dynasty (c.2100 BC), have slopes 52° +- 2°, with two notable exceptions being the two pyramids at Dashur, with the Red Pyramid having a slope of about 43° 22' and the Bent Pyramid having half its height at slope of 54° 27' and the top half at 43° 22'. Today there are still some 25 royal pyramids standing in the 25 kilometres strip of desert land adjacent to the west bank of the Nile Valley near modern Cairo. Most have their core masonry sufficiently intact to allow relatively accurate measurements of their slopes. A recent batch of slope measurements were provided by Jaromir Malek and John Baines in 1984 and Mark Lehner in 1997, of which 17 pyramids spanning from the 4th to the 6th Dynasties can by analysed. The first, a pyramid attributed to the relatively unknown pharaoh Huni of the 3rd Dynasty, is generally thought to have been 'converted' into a true, smooth-sloped pyramid by the founder of the 4th Dynasty, king Snefru, the father of Khufu, builder of the Great Pyramid at Giza. I have thus considered the Meidum pyramid as being part of the 4th Dynasty trend.

No convincing explanation has, so far, been given as to why the Pyramid builders selected slopes of 52° +/- 2°. There are geometrical theories and also construction issues that have been proposed as an explanation in recent years, but none are very satisfactory. From Table 2, we can see that the angle of slope most often encountered is 53° 07' 48", which occurs in nearly 50% of the Old Kingdom pyramids. This range of angles, from 54.5° to 51.7°, as can be seen from Table 1 above, bears a conspicuous correlation to the range of angles of the pole of the ecliptic of 54.5° to 51.5° at upper culmination as seen from across the pyramid fields of the Old Kingdom. In consideration of this, it is very tempting to inquire whether the ancient builders could have incorporated the angle of the pole of the ecliptic in the design of their pyramids.

Let us examine this possibility.


There are many studies that show that the pyramid builders linked their religion, and consequently their pyramids, to the stars It is also known that the ancient pyramid builders observed the stars as they culminated at the meridian north and south. Special attention, too, was given to the rising of the stars in the east, especially at dawn. The dominant group of stars that have been identified from ancient Egyptian sources with certainty are Orion, Sirius and the circumpolar constellations of Draco, Ursa Major and Ursa Minor. These circumpolar stars were perceived as being 'immortal' and 'indestructible' because they never rise or set but perpetually revolve in concentric circles around the north celestial pole. This led many Egyptologists to assert that the ancient Egyptians gave special attention to this region of the sky. At the very least, this all shows that the pyramid builders were avid observers of the rising and culmination of the stars, and most probably recorded their positions over long periods of time. It is also reasonable to assume that observations of the circumpolar stars might have been made while also observing simultaneously other stars rising in the east and still others simultaneously culminating in the south. The opinion is unanimous among Egyptologists and astronomers that the square bases of the Old Kingdom pyramids were deliberately made to face the four cardinal directions, in some cases with remarkably high precision. This, when coupled with the ancient builders' keen interest in the sky, would mean that the dominant alignments were an axis running east-west and another axis running north-south, forming an imaginary cross through the pyramid. The implications are, therefore, that the east-west axis served for the observation of the rising of celestial bodies in the east whereas the north-south axis served for the observation of the culmination of celestial bodies north and south at the meridian. Now, due-east defines the rising place of the equinoxes i.e. the positions occupied by the sun at the spring or autumn equinox. When an equinox is rising due-easton the horizon, the prime meridian or 'great circle' will loop directly above, passing through the north celestial pole and also through the pole of the ecliptic. Thus, by definition, the pole of the ecliptic is always on the prime meridian line when an equinox point is rising in the eastern horizon. However, the pole of the ecliptic will be at upper culmination at the meridian (about 53.5° altitude) only when the vernal point (spring equinox) is rising due-east. When this happens, all the main 'stations' (or 'colures') of the sky --the two equinoxes and the two solstices-- will be found in the four cardinal directions of the celestial landscape.

Thus if the ancient pyramid builders had wished to design a symbolic representation of this very special moment in time when the sky can be truly said to be in perfect order around the pole of the ecliptic, they would have selected a time when Orion was sitting due-south at the same time as the pole of the ecliptic was sitting due-north and the vernal point was sitting due-east.

When was that time?


By using astronomical software to scan the epochs, we find, interestingly, that the only one time in human history when this arrangement could have happened was c. 10,500 BC. Even more interestingly is the fact that the architectural simulacra defined by the Giza necropolis appears to 'freeze' that moment in immutable stone monuments:

1.The central pyramid, with its slope of 53 07' 48' is less than 1 degree away from the upper culmination of the pole of the ecliptic.

2.The three pyramids are set along the north-south 'colure' i.e. along the prime meridian of the sky.

3.The general pattern of the three pyramids correlates with the general pattern of the three central stars of Orion i.e. Orion's belt.

4.The vernal point is in alignment with the Great Sphinx as well as the constellation of Leo.

This astronomical conjunction, which only occurs in c. 10,500 BC, does not, of course, mean that the monuments themselves were constructed in that remote epoch. What it does is suggest that the ancient pyramid builders of Giza wanted to define the 'beginning' and the cosmic order of the world in a grandiose architectural symbolic plan. It also adds more cogency to the argument that the ancient Egyptians not only observed and recorded the stars over vast periods of time, but that they were well-aware of the effects of Precession and as such any such statement given as they didn't understand the nature of geometry, and mathematics, is clearly coming from someone in defence of their rigid beliefs, and in doing so blind themselves to the truth when the evidence is right there, they had electricity, and even if it was only used to electroplate things, which i highly doubt, as i have never yet found or seen a electroplated Egyptian relic, it still requires a greater understanding of the forces around them than modern day academia will admit as, standardz, hahahahahaha, :) #edio
